Lima collects only what is necessary to provide the service: your email address (for authentication), your saved recipes and books, and your encrypted Anthropic access key.
Your data is used to:
Your Anthropic access key is encrypted using AES-256-GCM before storage. The plaintext key only exists in server memory during recipe processing and is never logged, cached, or returned to the browser. You can delete your key at any time from account settings.
When you import a recipe, Lima fetches the page content and sends it to the Anthropic API using your own access key. Photos uploaded for recipe import are processed in memory and immediately discarded — they are not stored. The structured recipe output is saved to your account.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with the service providers listed above as necessary to operate Lima.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from account settings. Upon deletion, all your recipes, books, and encrypted keys are permanently removed.
Lima uses only essential cookies for authentication session management. No tracking or analytics cookies are used.
